Your donation to FCH will help to:
- Build sustainable affordable apartments. FCH utilizes the latest energy-saving, sustainable, green-building features to create a healthy indoor environment, save money for our tenants through lower energy bills, and minimize the impact of our developments on the natural environment.
- Provide excellent resident services. FCH provides enhanced on-site resident services customized to the needs of tenants via needs assessment surveys and tenant meetings. FCH has twice won a national Award for Excellence in Property and Asset Management from the MetLife/Enterprise Foundation.
- Invigorate and beautify our neighborhoods. We locate all of our developments in existing communities (or ‘infill’ sites) close to transit and provide free annual transit passes to every tenant. FCH has received numerous awards for the design of our developments. People who live in our apartments are proud to call them home.
- Mainstream special needs tenants. FCH is the leading provider of special needs housing in San Jose, and our Gish Apartments is a state-wide model for mainstreaming tenants with developmental disabilities. FCH currently has three developments offering a total of 61 units of housing for low-income special needs populations, with another 60 units in pre-development.
Housing is not an option – everyone needs a home – and affordable housing is so desperately needed. You can help FCH provide housing for seniors, working families, children, and people with disabilities. Together we can transform lives in our community.
